I am Rotarian Bibudhendu Patnaik. I am a businessman by profession but a social worker by passion.

I am Rotarian Bibudhendu Patnaik. My life reflects a steady journey of enterprise, service, and values shaped by my upbringing. I was born on 17 August 1964 in Dhenkanal, Odisha, into the laps of Rotarian Sri Sushil Kumar Patnaik and Smt. Prabina Patnaik. My father was an eminent scholar and the then Principal of Dhenkanal College. My mother was an active member of the Inner Wheel Rotary Club of Dhenkanal from 1980 till her last breath. During her lifetime, she served as President of the Club on several occasions.                    

She was my confidante and my pillar of strength. I grew up in a household where education, discipline, and public service guided everyday life. After completing my schooling and graduation from Dhenkanal College, I entered my family business in 1986. I soon chose to build my own path. In 1989, I established Odisha’s first modern engineering tool room, along with a mild nut-and-bolt manufacturing unit. These early ventures taught me the importance of responsibility, integrity, and creating opportunities for others.

I never viewed business as a pursuit of profit alone. I treated it as a platform to support education, healthcare, and livelihood for others. As my work grew, I ensured success extended beyond balance sheets and into communities.

Being the son of the founding members of Rotary Club Dhenkanal, I have completed three decades of service as a Rotarian Family member. On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee.

ରୋଟାରିଆନ୍ ବିବୁଧେନ୍ଦୁ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ

ମୁଁ ରୋଟାରିଆନ୍ ବିବୁଧେନ୍ଦୁ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ। ମୁଁପେଶାରେ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀ କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ୟାସନରେ ଜଣେ ସମାଜସେବୀ।ମୋର ଜୀବନ, ମୋର ଉଦ୍ୟୋଗ, ସେବା ଏବଂ ମୂଲ୍ୟବୋଧର ଯାତ୍ରାକୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳିତ କରେ। ମୋର ଜନ୍ମ ୧୭ ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ୧୯୬୪ ମସିହାରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳରେ ରୋଟାରିଆନ୍ ଶ୍ରୀ ସୁଶୀଲ କୁମାର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଏବଂଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ପ୍ରବୀଣା ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକଙ୍କ କୋଳରେ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ମୋ ବାପା ଜଣେ ପ୍ରଖ୍ୟାତ ବିଦ୍ୱାନ ଏବଂ ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳ କଲେଜର ତତ୍କାଳୀନ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଥିଲେ। ମୋ ମାଆ ୧୯୮୦ ମସିହାରୁ  ତାଙ୍କ ଜୀବନର ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଇନର ହ୍ୱିଲ୍ ରୋଟାରୀ କ୍ଲବ୍ ଅଫ୍ ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳର ଜଣେ ସକ୍ରିୟ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଅନେକ ଥର କ୍ଲବ୍ ସଭାପତି ଭାବରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାଙ୍କର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ନିର୍ବାହ କରିଛନ୍ତି।

ମୋ ମାଆ ମୋ ଶକ୍ତିର ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଥିଲେ। ମୁଁ ଏପରି ଏକ ପରିବାରରେ ବଢ଼ିଛି ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା, ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳା ଏବଂ ସାର୍ବଜନୀନ ସେବା ଦୈନନ୍ଦିନ ଜୀବନକୁ ମାର୍ଗଦର୍ଶନ କରୁଥିଲା।ମୋର ସ୍କୁଲ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଏବଂ ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳ କଲେଜରୁ ସ୍ନାତକ ହାସଲ କରିବା ପରେ, ମୁଁ ୧୯୮୬ ମସିହାରେ ମୋର ପାରିବାରିକ ବ୍ୟବସାୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲି। ମୁଁ ମୋର ପଥ ନିଜେ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ବାଛିଲି। ୧୯୮୯ ମସିହାରେ, ମୁଁ ଏକ ହାଲୁକା ନଟ୍-ଏଣ୍ଡ-ବୋଲ୍ଟ ଉତ୍ପାଦନ ୟୁନିଟ୍ ସହିତ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ପ୍ରଥମ ଆଧୁନିକ ଇଞ୍ଜିନିୟରିଂ ଟୁଲ୍ ରୁମ୍ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା କଲି। ଏହି ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭିକ ଉଦ୍ୟମଗୁଡ଼ିକ ମୋତେ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ, ସଚ୍ଚୋଟତା ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସୁଯୋଗ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ଶିଖାଇଲା। ମୁଁ ବ୍ୟବସାୟକୁ କେବଳ ଲାଭ ପାଇଁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରିନଥିଲି। ମୁଁ ଏହା ଶିକ୍ଷା, ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟସେବା ଏବଂ ଜୀବିକାକୁ ସମର୍ଥନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏକ ପ୍ଲାଟଫର୍ମ ଭାବରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିଥିଲି।

ରୋଟାରୀ କ୍ଲବ ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳର ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠାତା ସଦସ୍ୟଙ୍କ ପୁଅ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ, ମୁଁ ରୋଟାରିଆନ ପରିବାରର ସଦସ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ ତିନି ଦଶନ୍ଧି ଧରି ସେବା କରିସାରିଛି। ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଜୟନ୍ତୀ ବର୍ଷ ଅବସରରେ ରୋଟାରୀ କ୍ଲବ ସଦସ୍ୟମାନେ ମୋତେ ୨୦୨୭-୨୦୨୮ ବର୍ଷ ପାଇଁରୋଟାରୀ ଇଣ୍ଟରନ୍ୟାସନାଲ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ୩୨୬୨ର ଗଭର୍ଣ୍ଣର ପଦ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରେରଣା ଦେଇଥିଲେ।
